The trailer for the first part of the long awaited The Hobbit has arrived and it’s enough to make you say “Elijah Who?”.

Martin Freeman takes the lead as Bilbo Baggins. It also introduces the company of dwarves led by Thorin Oakensheild (Richard Armitage) and sees the return of some old friends, including the older Bilbo Baggins (Ian Holm), Gandalf (Ian McKellen), Galadriel (Cate Blanchett) and Gollum (Andy Serkis).

Directed by Peter Jackson, we have to wait an entire year to see the film. Release date is scheduled for 14th December 2012 when we’ll get to experience it in 48fps 3d.
