Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter Trailer Arrives
Ah America, the country that can turn even politicians into heroes. This particular hero is Abraham Lincoln and the historical fiction comes to us in the form of Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter. In the Tim Burton-produced, Timur Bekmambetov (Wanted) directed film, Benjamin Walker stars as the 16th President of the United States of America. Aside from the infamous stove pipe hat, he’s not the figure we remember from the history books. He now wields an axe and has the ability and the strength to fell both tree and vampire with a single slow-motion blow.
The film from Twentieth Century Fox is based on Seth Grahame-Smith’s book by the same name. It follows Abe Lincoln (Benjamin Walker), who has to deal with all the true-life problems of running a country and the Civil War and also a hoard of vampires.
Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Dominic Cooper and Anthony Mackie also star. Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter is due to be released in the UK on 2 August 2012
