Lenny Kravitz Here to Help as Cinna in New Hunger Games Clip

It’s less than three weeks until the opening of Gary Ross’s adaptation of The Hunger Games and fans everywhere are so excited those kind people at Lionsgate have released another clip to calm them down. The series is set to be even bigger than the Twilight franchise and is set to propel it’s actors to super stardom. They’ve already been touring shopping centres in America and the film hasn’t even opened yet.

In addition to all the images, web sites and trailers we’ve seen in the past few months, this is the second of the preview clips that have been released. You can watch the first one here. The film stars Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss Everdeen and in this clip we see Lenny Kravitz as Cinna, Katniss’ stylist, preparing her as a participant in the games.

“In a not-too-distant future, the United States of America has collapsed, weakened by drought, fire, famine, and war, to be replaced by Panem, a country divided into the Capitol and 12 districts. Each year, two young representatives from each district are selected by lottery to participate in The Hunger Games. Part entertainment, part brutal intimidation of the subjugated districts, the televised games are broadcasted throughout Panem as the 24 participants are forced to eliminate their competitors, literally, with all citizens required to watch. When 16-year-old Katniss’ young sister, Prim, is selected as the mining district’s female representative, Katniss volunteers to take her place. She and her male counterpart, Peeta, the son of the town baker who seems to have all the fighting skills of a lump of bread dough, will be pitted against bigger, stronger representatives who have trained for this their whole lives.”

Directed by Gary Ross, The Hunger Games also stars Josh Hutcherson, Woody Harrelson, Liam Hemsworth, Elizabeth Banks, Stanley Tucci, Donald Sutherland, Isabelle Fuhrman, Willow Shields, Lenny Kravitz, Amandla Stenberg and Wes Bentley. It will hit cinemas on 23rd March and you can read all our coverage right here.
