Fringe Final Series Trailer Released
Fox gave the makers of Fringe one final season to wrap things up before the show is de-commissioned and the trailer for the final season has been released. Screened at Comic-con during the Fringe panel, the cast and crew shed tears as they said goodbye to the show. Series stars Anna Torv, Joshua Jackson, Lance Reddick, Blair Brown, Jasika Nicole and John Noble, along with executive producer J. H. Wyman, held a Q&A with fans and showed the new trailer.
The new season will jump ahead to the year 2036 when the mysterious, pale Observers have taken over the world. After a group of female fans asked why there were no lady Observers, Wyman told the crowd that the reason would “become apparent this year.” He also said he let the actors in on how the show would wrap up, a departure from past seasons when the cast was left in the dark.
The fifth and final season of “Fringe” debuts Sept. 28 in the US.
