If you were one of the millions to watch The Dark Knight Rises over the weekend you may have already seen these. If you wern’t then don’t get your blue spandex outerwear knickers in a twist…here they are without all the pre-film faffing, munching and settling down that usually gets in the way of a good trailer.
The two trailers for the Zack Snyder directed Warner Bros. version of the franchise have the same visuals and music, the Yahoo version has Kevin Costner (Jonathan Kent) narrating and the MSN version has Russell Crowe (Jor-El) narrating. They are short glimpses into the feel of the film (yes I’m talking to you, naysayers and cynics). Refreshingly they don’t reveal every little plot point like lots of trailers.
Superman: Man of Steel stars Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Michael Shannon, Costner, Diane Lane, Laurence Fishburne, Antje Traue, Ayelet Zurer, Christopher Meloni, and Russell Crowe. Man of Steel opens on June 14th 2013.
“In the pantheon of superheroes, Superman is the most recognized and revered character of all time. Clark Kent/Kal-El (Cavill) is a young twentysomething journalist who feels alienated by powers beyond anyone’s imagination. Transported to Earth years ago from Krypton, an advanced alien planet, Clark struggles with the ultimate question – Why am I here? Shaped by the values of his adoptive parents Martha (Lane) and Jonathan Kent (Costner), Clark soon discovers that having super abilities means making very difficult decisions. But when the world needs stability the most, it comes under attack. Will his abilities be used to maintain peace or ultimately used to divide and conquer? Clark must become the hero known as “Superman,” not only to shine as the world’s last beacon of hope but to protect the ones he loves.”
