The Dark Knight Rises will be Showing at The Science Museum’s IMAX Screen
Have you missed out on tickets for Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Rises at the IMAX? Don’t worry, as London’s Science Museum’s IMAX will be showing the film from the 20th July onwards, and good news for you, there are tickets availiable.
The Science Museum are the owners of the second biggest screen in London. It measures 24.3m by 16.8m with a total screen size of 408m², fact. Making it taller than 4 double-decker buses. Plus it’s a brilliant excuse to wander round the museum while you’re waiting for the film to start…as if you need an excuse.
Normall home to educational documentaries about space, the sea and nature, it’s the first time the Science Museum has shown such a high profile film at the IMAX and it’s one of only five places in the UK where you can see the epic conclusion of the trilogy on a screen at the gigantic scale that the film was intended to be seen in.

In the epic conclusion to Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy, Oscar-winner Christian Bale leads an all-star international cast including Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, Morgan Freeman and Anne Hathaway. The Dark Knight was the first major feature film partially shot with IMAX cameras, and once again Christopher Nolan has used IMAX cameras to shoot even more scenes, which will expand to fill our giant Imax screen.
