Object of Desire? Chanel showcases their largest Bag to date…
With Karl Lagerfeld heading the Chanel SS13 Swimwear Collection, the distinct words of ‘hot’ and ‘surprise’ were on the lips of fashion enthusiasts the world round. The true nature of Lagerfeld’s vision and direction, is unmissable - prevailing an extravaganza of glitz and glamour, in keeping of Chanel’s globally sought after brand recognition.
This SS13 Chanel Swimwear Presentation, showcased at the luxurious Grand Palais, saw just that – indisputable design in mix with the bizarre and extraordinary. With a myriad of bold black, red and white, leading a prominent palate in the collection – needless to say, dazzling.
In a midst of this beauteous Collection was the unveiling of one of Chanel’s most chic – fantastic bags, to date. In cordial taste, the bag itself is of a much larger than average size, with an embellishment of soft stitched padding and a unique incorporation of the hoop.
Crazy ready to wear? Some may say so, however, Chanel has never been a brand known for taking a submissive; quaint approach to catwalk fashion – I remember Lagerfeld’s ‘Through the Looking Glass’ Bollywood enthused Collection last year, which again, evoked expression, desire and above all, an experimental take on hybrid fashion.
Chanel and Lagerfeld, I salute you.
