Oscar Winning writer Chris Terrio hired for BATMAN / SUPERMAN

Looks like Warner Bros. needed some extra polish for the Batman / Superman script and they have hired Argo writer Chris Terrio to write a new draft. Ben Affleck (who will star as Bruce Wayne / Batman) has worked with the writer and seems to be in a good relationship along with Warner Bros. (after all, Argo did win Best Picture at the Oscars and BAFTA awards).

I find this a VERY good move on Warner Bros. and the producers, as David S. Goyer may come up with interesting stories but his writing is flawed (the script for Man of Steel was clunky, none of the characters spoke like real people). Director Zack Snyder seems to want this movie to work on every level, so the writing has to be on par to deliver. They’re investing a lot to make Warner Bros. and DC Comic’s first movie crossover to work and if the story fails, the movie goes down with it! I’m starting to have a lot of faith in this movie.

There are also reports that Game of Thrones star Jason Momoa (Bane? Killer Croc? Doomsday?) is in talks to play a certain character in the movie, as well as Joaquin Phoenix as a villain and some rumours are circulating he could play Lex Luthor.

The movie will reprise MoS stars Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane in their respective roles but also introducing Gal Gadot as Diana Prince / Wonder Woman. The movie is scheduled for release on 17th July, 2015.
