“I observe a lot of baseball, and I thought I saw a way to help batters improve their swing mechanics,” said an inventor from Pleasant Grove, Ala. “I came up with this training aid to help batters with their timing. It also provides other benefits, such as better hand-eye coordination.”
He created a prototype for the LIGHT-UP HOME BASE to enable the batter to locate the baseball in the strike zone. The unit alerts the batter when it is time to swing. This increases the chances of making contact with the ball. It is designed to improve hand-eye coordination and also enhances swing speed. All of this promotes better in-game performance.
