The confidence among the public that the U.S. Companies can protect their personal information has gone down drastically.

Many customers have learned that their personal data that includes their debit and credit card numbers have been compromised by companies like Best Buy, Delta Airlines, Sears, and Kmart, etc. Apart from this, there is also news that the Cambridge Analytica has accessed the personal information of about 87 million Facebook users.

Despite all these problems, there are many people who still hand over their personal information to the businesses without thinking about how safe their information would be stored by the businesses. There needs to be something done by these businesses to safeguard and protect the personal and valuable information of their clients.

One simple solution to this problem is the grading system that is used by the restaurant regulators. This model will inform the public details of the businesses digital security that takes care of the consumer’s personal data.

The new grading system should first look into the basics. It has to see whether the companies are giving great importance to the data security. The system must also know how the impact of data hacking can be reduced if a hack is executed.
