Assemble Systems, Inc. announced a $12 million Series A round of new financing led by the Autodesk Forge Fund, with participation by existing investors Satterfield Vintage Investments and Assemble Investments. This new funding will help the company to further establish itself as a leading innovator in the BIM and construction data management space. The announcement was made at Autodesk’s annual user conference, Autodesk University, in Las Vegas.
With this Series A funding, Assemble Systems established a deeper construction focused partnership with Autodesk to further develop and integrate their respective solutions. This is welcome news for the AEC industry as the company gears up to integrate tightly with the Autodesk BIM 360 platform. Customers and media can learn more about these integrations at Autodesk University by visiting the Assemble Booth C70.
On the new Series A investor, Autodesk, Don Henrich – Assemble Systems CEO commented, “As the leader in BIM, Autodesk is in tune with our strategy of using 3D data to improve project quality and connect construction workflows to reuse data throughout the project. We are thrilled to have this partnership so we can work together to drive change in the construction industry. Autodesk is a leader in construction management and Building Information Modeling, and the opportunity to partner with them as they work to improve the use of 3D in Construction is a huge benefit to Assemble and our customers.”
“As the fourth Autodesk Forge Fund investment in construction technology startups in the past five months, our investment in Assemble Systems underscores our shared commitment of making the budgeting, estimation, and change management process simpler for construction companies,” said Nicolas Mangon, Autodesk Vice President for AEC Business Strategy and Marketing. “While construction projects are becoming increasingly complex, our relationship will help simplify pain points in the construction lifecycle, and further extend the value of BIM in construction.”
Webcor Builders has long been known for the application of Building Information Modeling to improve construction projects and is a customer of both Assemble and Autodesk. Peter Sosnowski, Director of Preconstruction thinks this integration is a huge opportunity for construction companies. “When you combine the entrepreneurial spirit and deep construction knowledge of the Assemble team with the BIM 360 applications from Autodesk you get the best of both. We look forward to working with this integration and finding ways to improve our processes and our construction services.”
The Series A financing builds on a strong year for Assemble Systems which saw a rapidly growing client portfolio of top construction companies standardize on its solution. The company also shipped additional integrations for their customers. These solutions include Bid Management, Project Management, Estimating, Scanning and Schedule Management. By providing a powerful SaaS platform for models, drawings, and point clouds, Assemble has established itself as a thought leader in the AEC sector focused on helping customers quickly and easily benefit from the increased availability of 3D models and point clouds.
